ASSOCIATION OF SPECIALIZED AND PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITORS (ASPA)
The Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA) is the only organization whose members are exclusively specialized and professional accreditors. ASPA specifically oversees specialized (or programmatic) accreditors, which are the agencies that only look at specific disciplines of study, such as business, veterinary science, writing or teaching. ASPA-member accreditors set national educational standards for entry into about 50 specialized disciplines or defined professions.

Many accrediting agencies recognized by the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA) have also sought voluntary accreditation with the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Those accrediting agencies recognized by ASPA who have not sought voluntary accreditation by CHEA include:
